Mr. Mathai-Davis brings to ChinaVest over 25 years of experience in emerging markets and building financial institutions in the United States. As a partner at Offitbank for 16 years, he was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer and helped to build one of the premiere asset managers and private banks in the United States with 7 offices, a representative office in Hong Kong and a total of $17.5 billion in assets under management. Prior to co-founding ChinaVest, Ltd. with Robert Theleen and Jenny Hsui, Mr. Mathai-Davis was a member of Mercantile Bankshares Board of Directors and Chairman of Investment & Wealth Management, responsible for diversified investment and private banking activities comprising more than USD $46 billion in assets. Mr. Mathai-Davis is a member of the New York Academy of Science and serves/ served on leading corporate, educational and public policy boards in the United States and in the international community.

Mr. Mathai-Davis graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. degree, maxima cum laude. He holds M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Princeton University.
